History

Andrew started working within the Criminal Justice system in Hampshire in 1984.

In 1994 Andrew Purkiss joined Tanner & Taylor Solicitors, then one of the most prominent Defence Solicitor Practices based in North Hampshire.

Andrew built up a strong and loyal client base operating out of the firms office in Aldershot.

In 2003 Andrew and his late wife June, also a well respected criminal defence solicitor, decided to set up their own firm to provide a service to their respective client base.

In January 2004 ‘The Purkiss Partnership’ commenced operating from their current offices half way between Andrew’s client base in North Hampshire and June’s client base in Surrey.

Within months it became apparent that the workload required the employment of additional staff.

The Partnership now employs a mix of Solicitors, Higher Courts Advocates, Police Station Representatives and support staff sufficient to provide a comprehensive and professional service to clients new and old.

Whilst the majority of the firms work is based within the local courts in Hampshire and Surrey, the firms client base and reputation has grown to the extent that the firm now acts for clients across the length and breadth of the of the country.

June sadly passed away in 2022. Today Andrew Purkiss trades as a Sole Practitioner under the trading name The Purkiss Partnership.
